New innovations and breeder technology at the fore of the 2021 Agility Agriculture and Takii Seed Brassica Innovation Days

With only four weeks to go until our Takii Europe Brassica Open Days we look forward to welcoming growers to our Lincolnshire Demo Site, kindly hosted by the Nundy's at Windy Ridge Vegetables. We hope that our open days will operate in a more traditional format this year, however it remains a priority that all visitors and hosts alike are kept safe and well as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to prevail. Further information will follow in the coming weeks.

This year will give growers the opportunity to view proven commercial material, alongside pre-commercial varieties across the complete Takii brassica portfolio. The extensive cabbage portfolio with varieties tailored to the fresh, processing and storage markets will be highlighted in the field along with the latest advancements for the spring greens and savoy cabbage sectors.

With a focus on varieties that will give growers a true point of difference when meeting ever-changing consumer demand, our event is definitely one to fit into the schedule for what is always a valuable week in the grower calendar.

BASIS and NRoSO points will apply for all customers attending the event. For further information please call 02380 454676 or email sales@agilityag.com.

New Seminis Spinach variety Upolu exceeds expectations in horrific growing conditions

We have been delighted with the performance of recently launched Upolu spinach this year.  In conditions where the ground has been saturated for long periods Upolu has consistently retained its colour and leaf thickness.  Upolu has an excellent plant habit with a good dark green leaf colour and consistency of leaf size, uniformity and thickness.  These traits have ensured that our growers benefit from a more superior bag quality as a result of less cut leaves and an extremely vibrant colour in the pack.  For further information on Upolu and where it might fit in your Spinach portfolio please click here.
